NexusTRACE - Remote Network Protocol Analysis
Procotol Analysis SystemNexusTRACE is the ultimate protocol troubleshooting and application analysis tool that fuels your Network Operations Centre with advanced remote multi-protocol analysis capability for access points anywhere in your network. While NexusTRACE has the same look and feel as traditional hardware protocol analyzers, it is easier to use and runs on your network management workstation or any other workstation connected to your network. With hundreds of installed systems globally, support experts choose NexusTRACE to decode, display and troubleshoot virtual circuits and protocol stacks on any port in their networks. NexusTRACE is a valuable addition to your existing Operational Support Systems (OSS) and is compatible with your existing management platform. Highlights

DescriptionNexusTRACE provides a powerful all-software, multi-protocol troubleshooting utility, which runs on your existing NMS workstations. NexusTRACE allows data, from active calls/transactions between two ports anywhere in the network, to be traced on the NMS Workstation (subject to security, i.e. operator authorization). NexusTRACE builds on the network trace collection facility provided by the network, additionally implementing sophisticated multi-protocol analysis entirely in software. To initiate tracing of a port in the network, an operator issues the network standard Trace Agent. This trace data is delivered over the network, in real time, to the operator's monitoring console for interpretation and analysis. NexusTRACE can be run from virtually anywhere in the network: authorized NCS operators can remotely log-on to a NexusTRACE-equipped NMS and run a trace session. No additional hardware is needed. Simultaneous traces are possible, up to the throughput and CPU capacity of the NMS. An operator can simply position trace session windows, side by side for easy comparison. With NexusTRACE, network technicians/engineers no longer need to travel or carry expensive, bulky protocol analyzers with them. Wherever they are, a laptop computer is all that is required to log in to the central NMS site and perform protocol analysis at the remote site. Even from home, technicians and engineers can remotely trouble-shoot protocol problems. With NexusTRACE, you can inexpensively provide 24-hour network support from the office, home, or on-site. |
